DMV

From ECLIPSE Roleplay

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is the place where players can acquire a driver or trucker license. These licenses are required by law to drive a car or truck.

About

The DMV is marked on the map with a blue identification card, and is labeled "DMV".

Front of DMV

Outside there is a World Interaction UI that allows the user to access the DMV menu. In the menu, you can read an introductory message that tells you the steps to getting a license.

Tutorials and Exams

There is a short tutorial that takes the player into a cutscene that gives information about IC rules and laws. This includes speed limits, how to drive, driving laws, and other related information.

There are the two exams. The exams are short guided trials that involve the player driving on a set course. The objective of the test is to get the player familiar with driving and ensure they know to drive correctly and follow speed limits. The truckers exam is similar to the drivers exam, but the player uses a semi-truck instead of a car. Each exam costs $650.

To bring up your mouse cursor when on the exam window, press the F2 key.

Finishing the Exams

After completing the exam(s), the player will receive the license for the exam they passed. You can see your new license by typing /licenses in the chat box.
