San Andreas Department of Corrections
The San Andreas Department of Corrections is the top facility for housing felons in the state of San Andreas, not that it has any competition.

History
The San Andreas Department of Corrections opened in late 2018 by the first Warden, Elijah Reid. The prison went through it's first big change in mid 2019 with a large interior added which included a catwalk over the cellblock. The interior was then updated again in December 2020 and received a few minor changes since then.

Bolingbroke went through many iterations in design, going from a small bunker style to utilising over half of the prison.

The first divisions were opened in 2020 with the Correctional Medical Team followed by the Groundskeeping Division. Since then ten other divisions have opened up to allow Correctional Officers a wide variety of tasks to do around Bolingbroke. The most recent division, Parole and Surveillance, opened in July 2024.

Locations
Bolingbroke is a very large place and there are lots of different areas of it.
* Cellblock - The location where the inmates are housed. Each cells offers a bed, toilet and a sink.
*Front Desk - Inmates are released at the front and can get their belongings back. The bell can also be rung to alert a guard.
*Yard - Outside area for the inmates. Inmates can mine, play basketball or endlessly tackle each other.
*Command & Supervisor Offices - The two office buildings next to each other at the center of the prison for both Supervisors and Command staff. They also contain bunks for homeless Correctional Officers.
*Lance Reddick Memorial Training Center for the Deaf and Blind (LRMTC4DAB) - This large training center features multiple large range for shooting and firearm training, small rooms for various CFT trainings and an almost 1:1 scale replica of the cellblock.

The Wardens
Warden Kourtney LaFleur (January 2022 - Current)
Warden Kourtney Lafleur was appointed as the Warden of Bolingbroke Penitentiary on the 27th January 2022 after the resignation of Warden Solomon Cobb. Born and raised in Vinewood Hills to her two loving parents.

She was an only child and was treasured by both of her parents. They doted on Kourtney as she grew up, treating her like a princess. Although neither of her parents were vegan she decided to take up the lifestyle herself. After college she studied at Psychology at ULSA where she met her first wife where she received her doctorate.

Kourtney applied to SADOC in October 2020 with her first wife after realising that she needed to do more with her life besides posting feet pics on OnlyFans. They were seen as outcasts for their different ways of handling the job with a lighter touch than what was necessary. This lead to her getting suspended on her first day for a week. Unlike her wife, Kourtney took this time to reflect on what was required for her and she came back with enthusiasm and a refreshed demeanour. Just over a month after that, she joined the Correctional Emergency Response Team, which was disbanded a few weeks later.

Kourtney began to devote a lot of her time to the Psych Team and wrote the entire handbook herself, using all the knowledge she had learned during her doctorate. She was then handed the head of Psych and continued to use this to showcase the skills she had. This helped her grow until she reached the Supervisor rank. From here she joined Human Resources and joined Command. She spent most of her time at SADOC for this period working on paperwork or hiring lots of new employees. She eventually handed over Human Resources to a budding Captain when she reached High Command and decided to focus on all aspects of the department.

Solomon Cobb (May 2021 - January 2022)
Warden Solomon Cobb was appointed as the Warden of Bolingbroke Penitentiary on the 29th May 2021 after the resignation of Warden Ren Sanchez. Born and raised in England, a man on a mission to make DOC pink.

Cobb's first career upon arriving in Los Santos in early 2020 was with the Department of Corrections, he was hired by his mentor and now-mayor of Grapeseed Herbert Butler. In the early stages of his career, Cobb worked in the Human Resources department, learning how to train and hire people and become effective at paperwork.

Working his way up the ranks, he took leadership of the Public Relations division, whilst getting qualified in as many other divisions as he could, with his eyes on the Commander of Special Divisions role. When he was eventually promoted into this position due to his expertise he continued to develop the divisions to match closer to what they are today, opportunities for employees to better themselves and have fun doing it.

As he moved on from his Human Resources Command role. his passion for Public Relations never waivered, something that can still be seen today. He maintained control of the Public Relations division throughout his tenure and made it his focus to shift the public image of the SADOC from one that is too strict and scared of inmates to one that is more easygoing and there to help the inmates. This goal became even more achievable once he attained the final rank, Warden, gaining full control over the prison and its operations.

Cobb is known for avoiding using sidearms or heavy weapons, and instead focusing on only using the nightstick as his primary maiming device. He still holds the record at SADOC for the most people taken out with a single swing of a baton (5). He also was the first Warden to introduce musical Christmas trees into the solitary confinement block as a method to deter people from doing bad things in prison that would usually result in solitary confinement. It was confirmed by a SAJB judge that technically it was not torture.

One of his final changes before retiring from the position 2 years after joining, was facilitating the creation of the Felon Reformation Program division, a division dedicated to turning the lives around of inmates and getting them jobs. In January 2022, he eventually tendered his resignation, to move on to pursue other things, leaving Kourtney in charge.

Ren Sanchez (September 2019 - May 2021)
Mark Sullivan (March 2019 - September 2019)
Elijah Reid (December 2018 - March 2019)
Elijah Reid was the first Warden of the San Andreas Department of Corrections and laid a lot of the groundwork in terms of protocols and paperwork that the department continues to follow even to this day.

Notable Events
Murder in the Hallway (AKA the cause of Reina's PTSD) - February 2021
In early 2020, Correctional Officer Parrish and Harryman were performing regular duties when they were attacked between solitary and the laundry room. They attempted to defend themselves but the inmate that attacked them was far stronger. Before they went down they managed to get out a Code 1 radio call, where members of the department began to rush to their aid. As Parrish and Harryman were on the floor, Assistant Warden Reina Moraine stepped into the room and pulled out her pistol, firing on the inmate. Once the inmate was injured she reloaded and filled the inmate with a few more rounds before they were dead. Two other Correctional Officers besides the injured witnessed the event. Both Parrish and Harryman luckily survived their injuries but less than a day after Reina Moraine was arrested for murder.

Issei's Sniper Incident - March 2023
SADOC were called to protect a conference at the old city hall that was being run by SAJB. CERT members were eager to join and planned ahead. A member of CERT, Issei Schneider, was tasked with overseeing the event from a distance with a sniper. The proceedings were going well until an unarmed civilian began to attack a member of GSB (Government Security Bureau) and Issei took a single shot to injure the civilian. The civilian was then treated and was taken to the hospital where he recovered. A short time after a search warrant was given to Warden Kourtney LaFleur by LSPD High Command. Issei was shortly arrested and charged for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Governor Lewis Langley quickly intervened and pardoned Issei yet the incident still soured relations with LSPD.

Recruitment Process
When starting your journey to become an SADOC officer, there is a few steps taken.

#Application. The application is an way for the Human Resources team to get to know what kind of person you are, as well as your history and intentions. An member of said team will go through your application and do an background check, then respond to it with either an list of things they need updated, that you moved on to the next step or denial.
#Interview. Probably the step that most sees as most scary. It starts with you heading to SADOC and asking for a member of Human Resources for an interview. From there you will be patted down, put your fingerprint in the legal system and take an drugtest. After that, you will sit down with the human resource member and start the interview. Then, you will either get the results on the spot, or on your application later on. If you apply to become an Custodian Correctional Officer, you skip step 3.
# Physical test. Next up is the physical test, which is to make sure your fit for duty and can keep up with what our duties requires you to. Again you go to SADOC and ask for an member of human resources. They will pat you down, then take you to one of our training grounds. ((This is when we check your roleplay out, and the roleplay will heavily depend on /me's and /do's)) After the course is complete, you again will either get results on the spot or later on your application.
# Academy This is the final step before you become an officer. The Academy will be scheduled by an member of human resources on the goverment site, and your required to show up 15 minutes before the time. It will start with an patdown, then you will be taken to sign your employement contract, get your badge and uniform. Then you will start an class that will go through our protocols, whats expected of you and a tour of the grounds.

SADOC Vehicle Fleet
SADOC has many vehicles they can utilize for all different jobs, from performing a transport to mowing the grass.<gallery mode="packed" widths="200" heights="200">

The proceedings were going well until a civilian began to attack a member of GSB (Government Security Bureau) and Issei took a single shot to injure the civilian.

Murder in the Hallway (AKA the cause of Reina's PTSD)

*Front Desk - Inmates are released at the front and can get their belongings back.
*Yard - Outside area for the inmates. Inmates can mine and play basketball.

Prison Overview
There are plenty of things you can do while you're in prison, especially if you don't want to be in prison anymore!

Prison has it's very own set of rules that can be found here.

Jobs
While you are incarcerated at the SADOC there are a lot of activities that you can partake in to pass time.

Stamps can be used to buy store from the store or if you're really patient you can keep them until you get released where the stamps get converted to money.

Laundry
Inmates can pick up laundry from around the cellblock. The laundry can be deposited inside of a laundry machine and after a few minutes it will have cleaned. It can then be dropped off in a washing basket in exchange for stamps.

Other inmates are capable of stealing laundry from machines so the laundry room is often one of the most dangerous areas.

Litter
Similar to laundry, litter is found around the cellblock area and in the yard. It can be dropped in a trash can in exchange for stamps.

Mining
After purchasing a pickaxe from the store you can mine the ore that spawns in the yard and sell it in exchange for stamps.

Other Activities
There are many non scripted activities you can do to have a fun and enjoyable sentence in prison. Correctional Officers are also able to provide unique roleplay, such as mowing around the cellblock.

Visitation & Legal Aid
If you believe you have been wrongfully charged then you have the option to make an appeal through the court system.

Correctional Officers can request for JB assistance.

If there are no defense lawyers present then you will be required to submit your own appeal

Visitation at DOC is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including holidays!

There is a requirement for at least two Correctional Officers to be free to assist in visitation so if some aren't immediately available then feel free to come back later.

The visitation rules are as follows:

* No physical contact
* No whispering
* No passing of items. Items that wish to be exchanged will be checked beforehand for contraband.

Maximum time is 15 minutes

Reform & Rehabilitation
Prison offers many chances for reform for inmates that don't want to live the life in crime. This can come in the form of the Felon Reformation Program or the Parole Program, both offering unique roleplay opportunities you only get the chance to experience a few times.

To start the parole process, inmates can talk to a Correctional Officer and let them know that they're interested in Parole. Once they have done that, the officer will contact someone qualified and if the inmate has not been charged with any of the disqualifying charges, they will be taken to an interview room to have their parole meeting.

Criminal Activities inside of Prison
Smuggling
If you want to smuggle items inside of SADOC then it's quite simple. You need to roleplay hiding the item, use the /time command and then screenshot it. You will then need to provide this screenshot to the Correctional Officer searching you to prove that the smuggling roleplay is valid.

Prison Break
If you're tired of being inside of prison then you have the possibility to attempt a break out. If you fail then you will suffer the consequences and be incarcerated once more.

You are allowed to partake in one prison break per week due to the hostage taking guidelines. If you are interested in performing a prison break then make a /report 1 and ask if you can have prison break permission.

Permanent Prisoners
Permanent Prisoners are characters that are solely made for spending their lives inside of prison without the possibility of release, unless under very special circumstances.

*Front Desk - Inmates are released at the front and can get their belongings back.
*Yard - Outside area for the inmates. Inmates can mine and play basketball.
*Command & Supervisor Offices - The two office buildings next to each other at the center of the prison for both Supervisors and Command staff. They also contain bunks for homeless Correctional Officers.
Recruitment Process
When starting your journey to become an SADOC officer, there is a few steps taken.

# Application. The application is an way for the Human Resources team to get to know what kind of person you are, as well as your history and intentions. An member of said team will go through your application and do an background check, then respond to it with either an list of things they need updated, that you moved on to the next step or denial.
# Interview.
